Entitled 'The role of complementary and alternative medicine in the NHS', the Smallwood Report was commissioned by HRH The Prince of Wales (Prince Charles) "with the objective of taking a fresh and independent look — within a reasonable timescale — at the contribution which complementary therapies can potentially make to the delivery of healthcare in the UK".
